SHAPESHIFTING
by evan purdy and molly maltmanFor two years, photographer evan purdy and writer molly maltman travelled across different spaces of dance – from underground raves, to the streets, to bedrooms. no matter the space, the feeling of dance remained the same. it became a meditation, a way of getting closer to a sense of understanding. the book documents the inner transformations that happen while dancing through the photographs and fragmented poetry.
to dance is to liberate the constraints of the mind, to move with change, into a fresh state of being, an endless spiral of becoming and unbecoming. when the movement is done, where do the feelings go?
