’I am Firstly, Nothing’
Exhibition / MagazineDilston Galley, London / AnOther Magazine2024
‘I Am Firstly Nothing’, captures the community that surrounded Purdy’s life in London. The Exhibition at south London’s Diston Gallery, showcased a series of 15 framed darkroom handprints.

I  want to show to people in my generation that by looking at these things – by really looking – you can show that when we try to work locally, when we look to our friends, our immediate groups and when we try and look at ourselves, we can make small positive changes.

‘madly awake am i at my small window’Exhibition ORi, Berlin2024
Curated  by Evan Purdy and Molly Maltman, ‘madly awake am i at my small window’ brought together London based artists dreaming up radical alternatives to city life.

Featured artists included: Jesse Glazzard, Trinity Ellis, Celia Croft, Siam Coy, Timon Benson, Joe Craven, Kit Heathershaw, Evan Purdy, Molly Maltman and more

“Living in a city, especially one like London, means you cannot escape the truth of what our government has created. But despite that really difficult reality, there will always be hope when people are intimate with one other. People in cities are bonded by these shared experiences – that’s why people in major cities are some of the most open and tolerant people you can find. The isolation we feel comes not from being physically alone, but being innately aware that we are missing deep connections to other human beings, true community.“

‘Arrival’Exhibition Satellite Gallery, London2024
Curated  by Galen Bullivant, ‘Arrival’ featured work from artists such as Sarah Stedeford, Ezekiel and Nicole Ngai. Satellite

“They all intrigue me in different ways,” Bullivant tells Dazed. This sentiment is also true for Evan Purdy, the London-based photographer also featured in the show. “He has such maturity in his work – his photos remind me why I started to enjoy photography. There’s an honesty and rawness to his work, that of a weathered photographer, but he’s 22.”

‘Portraits of City Youth’
Magazine Office Magazine, New York2024
“...It's a really difficult place for young people to live. If anything, the city is actively trying to make that young person not stay, with   incredibly high prices, it's a really difficult time. Most young people have to work two, three jobs. It is an insane thing. But amongst that insanity of mondern survival, I think it creates a unique breeding ground. It's not easy for me to be here. And that creates this really intentional side of youth culture where they just seek the unknown. Their experimentation exists in their survival .”
